How You Can Help

In August of 2016, Greater Westfield Babe Ruth will be hosting the 2016 Babe Ruth 14 Year Old World Series. Babe Ruth teams from all over the United States, plus one from Westfield, will make up the World Series participants.  All games will be played at Bullens Field in Westfield beginning on Thursday, August 11th and continuing through Thursday, August 18th, with an opening World Series Banquet on Wednesday, August 10th.

A large group of volunteers will be needed throughout the World Series to make it successful. There will be volunteer opportunities that will include:

  • Admission Gate
  • Announcers
  • Banquet Set Up and Clean Up
  • Ball Shaggers
  • Bat Boy/Bat Girl
  • Bus Monitor
  • Concession Stand
  • Cleaning Crew
  • Bookkeepers (score book)
  • Family Ambassador
  • Field Prep – Daily
  • Greeter
  • Info Booth
  • Park Clean Up
  • Parking Lot Coordinators
  • Press Box (scores, announcers, scoreboard)
  • 50/50 Raffle Sales
  • Seating
  • Souvenir Sales
  • Team Ambassadors
  • Traffic Control
  • Voucher Sales

Once you have signed up our Volunteer Division Leader will contact you to help assign you to one or more of the critical tasks to be performed daily during the World Series. We will have volunteer opportunities for every one of all ages, teenagers to our senior citizens. We will even offer volunteer letters to anyone that works and can get credit for their school or church clubs.
